About
Independent snowboard database
What is Slopedex
Slopedex is an independent database of snowboards from 16+ brands. It lets you compare specs, sizing, terrain fit, and ride characteristics side by side — without wading through manufacturer marketing copy or retailer upsells.
Every board entry is sourced from brand catalogs and normalized into a consistent format so you can compare a Burton with a Jones with a Bataleon on the same terms. We cover shape, profile, flex, skill level, camber type, construction, and reinforcement materials — the things that actually affect how a board rides.
How We Make Money
Slopedex uses affiliate links. When you click through to a retailer and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Retailer prices and availability are always set by the retailer — affiliate relationships never change what you pay.
Affiliate status does not influence how boards are ranked, sorted, or described. Rankings are based on match relevance to your stated preferences, not commercial relationships.
How We Pick and Present Data
Specs are sourced from brand catalogs and official product pages for the current season. We normalize units, resolve inconsistencies across brand formats, and store per-size dimensional data (effective edge, waist width, sidecut radius) separately so the numbers are accurate per size, not averaged.
We deliberately do not show warranty terms, return policies, country of origin, or shipping claims. Those are retailer-specific and change frequently — presenting them as facts would be misleading.
What We Don't Do
- — No accounts or user registration. There is nothing to sign up for.
- — No selling your data. Wishlist and compare selections stay in your browser's local storage only.
- — No sponsored rankings or paid placements. Board order reflects match quality, not ad spend.
- — No third-party ad trackers. Analytics are first-party, gated by your cookie consent.
